Proper nutrition is essential for the physical growth and development of students. Adequate intake of essential nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates, and fats supports healthy bone growth, brain function, and overall physical stamina. Good nutrition also contributes to better concentration, memory, and cognitive abilities, which are vital for academic performance.
Poor Nutrition among College Students:
Study conducted in Nov. 2021- focused on quality of food, any food addiction symptoms, and negative feelings post meal/snack.
College students are at a 21.9% higher risk for food addiction which is likely stressed induced (Wattick, et al, 2023)

- Fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, and sardines are excellent sources of omega-3 fatty acids.
